Hey Gdub my east coast buddy. Thank goodness the we have a game that starts at 9 ET. I couldn’t stay awake past half time the last game even though I have officially joined the ranks of the unemployed and won’t have to show up for work the next morning.

Nothing bad Gdub. I quit my job because I had a better job offer in Singapore. I’m finally going home after 17 years in the US. So it’s all good -- cause for a celebration, my friend. My parents are so happy, so too my siblings, nieces and nephews.

These are my last few days in the US. Once I get to Singapore I’ll start my new job as Associate Director of Elearning at the National University of SIngapore. Yay.

Not sure how I’ll watch the games in Singapore though :(

I’m safe I think, but hurricanes can be unpredictable. This one was predicted to hit, then go to the Atlantic ocean and then come back to Florida for another swing. Those south Floridians are in for a rough ride.

True G, the Haitians always seem to take the brunt of it. Hard to rebuild your country if it gets hit by natural disasters again and again. I think most of the deaths happened in Haiti.

Boy, I’m glad to be returning home to Singapore soon. No more earthquakes or hurricanes. Just human stampedes during awesome sales from time to time.

About a couple of months ago. I went to Singapore for a visit in July, got an unexpected job interview, followed by a job offer at a university in Singapore. Considering my parents are in their 70s and my nieces and nephews need their aunt, I decided to accept the offer and come home. I may return to the US some day. Regardless, will still follow the Lakers no matter where I land on this planet. Go Lakers!!!!!

I feel you. Hang in there and be safe. We just had Madaline barely miss us but we got heavy rain. Now we are tracking Lester, he has 125 mile an hour sustain winds. He looks like he might miss us but then 2 years ago Ezelle looked like she would miss us until she took a hard left. I had no power for a week and a couple of trees fell across my drive way that I had to clear with a hand saw. I guess there is a price for living in the tropics. Be careful, you’re in my prayers.

No trees fell in our neighborhood and everybody is fine too. Roads are still blocked and power still out. But we live in Tallahassee, Florida’s state capital, and near the town center. So we expect that power will be up in a few hours. We got the bbq grill going and going through our perishable food. Thanls guys for the best wishes and support.

I know this has nothing to do with basketball, but I just gotta share my joy with sports-minded people. Singapore got its first gold medal in the Olympics yesterday. Joseph Schooling won the 100 m butterfly swim, beating out Michael Phelps, his idol since childhood. He also set a new world record. Well done, Joe. He made SIngaporeans feel so happy today:

      Good Morning Seely,

Well, I had no clue that Mozgov was even in the ballpark. At least Brexit was one of the considerations (and don’t get me started on how awful that referendum decision was, especially since I’ve been in London since two days before the referendum…)

I’m also glad for JC. Who do you think is next up for the lake show?

Hey Cali, glad to see you here again. Yes, I’m doing well. How are your studies? I hope you’re making great progress.

For days we were talking about Biz and Whiteside. Then Mozgov name started being mentioned yesterday as someone Lakers were talking to. To be honest the only thing I remember about him is he got dunked on by Blake Griffin and that monster dunk went viral hence the catch phase for anyone who’s a recipient of a monster dunk -- “He got Mosgov-ed”. So the name doesn’t inspire much confidence :)

Brexit….oh boy, where do I begin? That was such a mess and I thought only Americans do crazy things… I hope the Brits find a way out of it.

My guess is that the Biz camp politely told them to look elsewhere. Remember, B-Shaw coached him and Luke has seen him up close a lot during a couple of playoff series, most notably 2015. Chin up!

I am Keen. The reality is, until our young core is much further along, the big name guys will prefer teams with money (a lot of teams have the money now) and a non-losing record. So in perspective, getting Mozgov on board is not a terrible move.

Yeah, with JC and Lou out there we got at least 2 guys who can get their own shot.

I like that Ryan is still lookin’ to attack the rim … now if he could just knockdown those wide open perimeter shots.

Me too, G. Almost gave up on him but he’s made a lot of improvement.

The #1 overall pick has quietly had a pretty nice half himself.

Totally agree with Mark Jackson’s comments on Wiggins needing to be more assertive … he gets lost out there far too often for his talent level.

So hoping that now the season has begun, we’ll see more of the ladies back here. Miss Justa, PnG, Flisade, Arlie, and the rest.

If this is true, then it’s great…. like what we’ve discussed here – Metta to eventually take on an assistant coach role. I think having Metta on the team for a start is important to instill the in-game discipline of running the defensive system and setting an example for the youngters; then eventually moving into the coach role.
