Very cool. I envy you. I wish I could go more. I’ve always been “cyclic” at that. When I knew people in bands over the years, I’d go to a lot of stuff…then, not much, then another band, etc. I still get to things, but usually in the context of following people I know, then, once I’m out, I go see more stuff.

Crazy range that my wife and I have and have had. Saw Elvis (yeah, that Elvis) about a year before he passed (the arena aura was unreal! Saw Stones, McGuire Sisters, McCartney, Moody Blues, CSN, Eagles and on and on. Newbies weve seen: Sara Barellies, Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, Fitz & Tantrums, Capital Cities, Band Perry and on and on. It’s our Fav thing to do. Felt a little old at the newbies, but what the heck, we love new stuff equally!

            Very, very cool!

It’s funny, people always say the “young” are into music and as they get older, they only listen to the old stuff. People who ACTUALLY like music (when one is young, everyone listens, afterwards, not so much), continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Some of the “hippest” people who turn me onto what’s cool (usually from England) are older, rather than younger, though some younger folk have excellent range and keep me abreast as well. Lot of youngsters have terrible mainstream crap taste. And, as they get older, it stays that way!

I go to at least 20-30 shows a year. I love punk rock, reggae, new wave, power pop, and folksy blue grass type stuff. That is exactly why I live in Santa Cruz as it’s the best music scene for those types in the US period. But I will travel anywhere on the west coast or even fly somewhere to see the show I want to see.

You know, sometimes you just gotta have a nice piece of music to make your day more bearable. After Peter Green had left Fleetwood Mac, Christine Perfect/McVie came to the band, and they got Bob Welch for a little while, but Danny Kirwan, Greenie’s perfect melodic foil, was still there and did this great instrumental (oh, and that’s a pic from an earlier incarnation of the band, not the 1972 version):

Randle learning what it’s like to be out of shape and going to 82 games from the college season. Learning curve’s a byatch.

Clarkson’s interesting, but his shot release is WAY low and slow. You can release low if it’s on the “up” and it’s quick, but he never releases high. Lot of blocks are going to happen unless he retools. Also, can’t do “hang-time” with a shot release that low (you have to be at the top of your extension, then wait on the way down and shoulder the rest; can’t do that with a low release). Still, he’s got some potential, and he’s got a pretty good eye.

Wish Marshall were better. He’s got a great eye for the game, but the rest. Whelp, he’s improving a little, but how that translates to the real season…meh, we’ll see.

Don’t understand why Randle was putting the ball on the floor in situations where a guard (typically PG) ought to be doing it instead. Too easy to get stripped by the quicker guards in the backcourt. Hope the coaches take him aside.

Yeah Randle got a little handle happy out there. He did a good job handling from top of the key in the spread set with a 7-footer guarding where he could use he quickness to beat his man and distribute or attack. Nice call by Mad Dog to call for that clear out a few times. That was the good news. The bad news after that is Julius wanted to bring the ball up lol.

One of our player development coaches ought to be a shooting coach!

Rockets say they’re going after Love and Rondo now (as that was “always” the plan). Heh-heh-heh. If Dwight had problems with Kobe, he’s gonna LOVE Rondo!

Dwight thought he was leaving the Lakers to win Championships? Parsons convinced him of that? Wow.

Unlike Kobe, Rondo can actually play defense.
      Howard will love that.

When asked about being a Director, 63Footer’s response was: “I really want to act.”
