Two major factors working against odd team Lakers built around LeBron

The Los Angeles Lakers built a puzzling and seemingly odd-fitting team around LeBron James this summer.

Former Cleveland Cavaliers GM David Griffin argued on a podcast that the Lakers wouldn’t have the luxury of figuring out how to play together because the Western Conference is so good and they could miss the playoffs.

Griffin also argued that while the Lakers roster could succeed in the regular season, he’s worried that the pieces around James won’t allow him to excel if they do make the playoffs.
