LeBron must win 2 rings to tie Kobe & give Lakers more championships than Celtics
"Los Angeles, California still belongs to Kobe Bean Bryant. It's his town, it's deep-seated and it will remain his town until LeBron carries this Lakers team to a title…"

His 4 years here will never surpass Kobe’s entire body of work in LA.
Skip talking outta his azz per usual….

Rings won on other teams don’t really count with Lakers fans. It’s the rings you won for us that count. That means LeBron would have to win 6 rings to top Kobe, which ain’t going to happen. But he can become a great Laker -- like Kareem and Wilt -- if he can win two more championships so we move ahead of the Celtics. That will be the real arms race once the Warriors fade.

No one ever thinks of Kareem as a buck. Lebron won’t be going into the HOF as a Laker.

Who knows, when all have been said and done and Lebron brings championships to Los Angeles, his jersey might be retired in multiple places -- Cleveland, Miami, and LA.
Might even get a statue outside Staples Center.

2 rings to tie Kobe and put us ahead of the Greenies would do it for retired Lakers jersey and statue at Staples.

One ring and his number is retired. Never going to get a statue.

Yup.
We probably won’t ever see a Laker again play for 20 seasons and win us 5 Chips.

This is exactly why Lebron doesn’t want hoopla and fanfare coming to Los Angeles. Learned his lesson with Miami and the promise of multiple rings. He can’t pull the wool over Lakers fans’ eyes. He has to measure up to our other legends.Judging from this post alone, we’re practically setting impossible standards for him to live up to lol.

Wilt is legendary yet he won just one in LA and he had Jerry West and Elgin Baylor so the standard really isn’t that high.
Us oldtimers are easy to please. Its those bandwagon folks thats causing all the fuzz.
