Hassan Whiteside is unhappy. The Heat are over the cap. How about Riles trading him into our cap space for whatever. His next 2 seasons: $25,434,263, $27,093,018 (player option). Thoughts?

He isn’t the answer, which is why Riley has not been playing him in fourth quarters and their defense has often been better without him.

Hypothetically, if the Heat are desperate to trade him, the team who is willing to take him and his contract on may have some leverage. In other words, the Heat may be willing to throw in a draft pick. He’s unhappy, but has proven his abilities and is only 28. He’s a premier rebounder and rim protector. If we land PG and nom one else, he might be worth looking into.
