Great interview with Pelinka by Harrison Faigen
Rob Pelinka told @VeniceMase and @LAIreland on the radio that he wants the Lakers to try and win their next two games and chase the eighth seed:https://t.co/lYo2SC7pkX pic.twitter.com/M4GQ0l87e0

Additionally, Pelinka was super complimentary of Thomas Bryant and called him a "big piece of the future" for the #LakeShow pic.twitter.com/ldlZ6f2ZXk

If we beat the Pelicans Wednesday night, we will only be 5 games out of the #8 playoff spot. This is where IT can earn himself a chance to remain in purple and gold. We need to win 18 of our remaining 27 games (2 out of 3) to finish with a 41-41 record. That would be a top ten record for last 27 games of the season. It’s also an achievable goal if the team can really turn up the defense and play hard every night.

Great to hear Rob talk about Thomas Bryant’s potential as a future stretch 5. I think Thomas is a far better long term center prospect for how the game is played today than Zubac. My guess is we’re not likely to see TB play much unless the team’s playoff push fizzles immediately.

And so the core grows to six, with all four of this year’s picks turning into keepers. Impressive.

You think they’re worried the Cavs pick will be in the 20’s?

They do ok in that range…
